Mission Statement
ICT Trees is dedicated to the preservation and expansion of Wichita’s tree canopy. Through collaborative efforts, education, and hands-on initiatives, we strive to protect existing trees and foster growth of new ones.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to create a greener, healthier and more sustainable future for Wichita, where the benefits of a thriving tree canopy are enjoyed by generations to come.
Activities
- Establish and support programs for the planting and proper maintenance of trees in Wichita community and surrounding area.
- Educate the public and policy makers regarding the benefits to our community of maintaining and enlarging our urban tree canopy, including the proper planting and care of trees in public, private and residential spaces.
- Collaborate with other organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors to accomplish these purposes.
- Advocate for policies that will further ICT Trees mission and purpose.
- Work with national Arbor Day Foundation to organize annual ARBOR Day event.
