DESCRIPTION:Help us plant 100 Trees this Spring\n\n\n\nTree Walks kicks off at 4 p.m. • Chili bar by the Artichoke starts serving at 5 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Donations suggested: \n\n\n\n\n\n@ The Fresh Air Baby Camp in Oak Park\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$25+ Chili Dinner only\n\n\n\n$50+ Mulch Level\n\n\n\n$100+ Tree Friend Level\n\n\n\n\nWe need to raise $10\,000 to buy trees and get them in the ground this spring. Help us keep Wichita cool! \n\n\n\nFree Tree distributions are one of a number of activities ICT Trees sponsors to publicize the value and benefit of trees but is one of the most costly. \n\n\n\nICT Trees strategically targets free tree distributions to core neighborhoods in or near Wichita’s NASA designated “urban heat islands.”  Urban heat islands are areas in the city where the built environment — streets\, parking lots\, buildings — and loss of green space and tree canopy cause temperatures significantly greater than other parts of Wichita.  Significantly increasing the number of trees in or near these heat islands can reduce temperatures in surrounding neighborhoods as much as 8 to 12 degrees. \n\n\n\nICT Trees is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. \n\n\n\nICT Trees flyer 082825 verticalDownload
